Welcome to Week  of Coaching for Geeks ‘creator of the month’ for January 2019. Today we look at the final 2 pieces from the very talented Jen Pawley (Geek Forge) along with a little insight to each.

A friend of mine wanted a prop for a costume, so she came to me and asked if I could help. Together, we worked out something for her. When we went to the event, we got a lot of questions about where we got it, and it’s quickly become one of the hottest (see what I did there?) items in the Etsy store this year! It’s like combining sculpture, sewing and technology all into a hand-sized accessory that makes everyone look cool!

This is a picture of a quick-change costume I made, inspired by a song by the nerd-rock band Kirby Krackle. I wanted to be able to go from mild-mannered nerd to superhero without losing any pieces on a convention floor, so there’s lots of Velcro involved!
